The wide-angle lens gives a huge 100 degree field of view, almost double what the standard lens offer. This means that the animal will almost always be in shot when the camera triggers, and reduces ‘blank captures’; i.e. when the camera has triggered too late and the animal has moved out of the field of view.
Its also great if you want to monitor as large an area as possible, such as a large garden, and if you are monitoring for security purposes.
It does have a drawback however; notice the blur around the edges of the picture. Although the centre is clear and crisp, there is a clear blur around the outside, and it is slightly under-exposed. This is due to the size of the lens.

GREAT CAMERA FOR VIDEO RECORDING AND RECORDS SOUND! EASY TO SET UP AND WITH A 32 GB SD CARD, GETS LOTS OF PICTURES!
BEING ABLE TO HAVE SOUND IS GREAT! THEY ARE CHEAP, BUT GREAT FOR SECURITY!
We used this product for our hunting property. I actually bought a 2nd one after the results it gave us. The pictures were clear and it took tons of pictures. I didn’t even realize it had video when I bought it. That was a nice perk too. I like how it was easy to use. We didn’t have to worry that we didn’t have it setup right.
I thought it was easy to setup but once ready to go, it seemed a little tricky getting it turned on to record, but figured it out. Love the ability to capture pics and video at the same time. The daytime images are crisp and clear, and the nighttime ones have excellent resolution. These pictures were all from the first night I had this camera. This is well worth every penny. It is good quality and easy to operate. It has given me something to look forward to each day wondering what new things I might see. I would recommend this trail camera. I am very happy with it.
OK, so the “Game” I captured the first night I used this wasn’t great (expecting armadillo and got a field mouse) but it did show that you can read the instruction book, set the details you want, put it in place and be capturing images right away. It also shows that the camera is effective on pretty small creatures.
Awesome Trail Cam. I live in the country and have seen coyote and deer on a regular basis. Now I can capture them in their environment. Great camera. Takes good pictures. I would recommend. Nice price for what you get.
I really like this little camera. We purchased this trail cam for the 1-acre wooded lot we just moved to, mainly use it to see what is visiting the barn and to check out what’s living in various “holes” on the property. In just three days we caught several good quality videos of a raccoon at night, which was pretty cool since we’ve not seen any during the evening hours we’ve been awake and outside. We also caught a picture of a hummingbird who was checking out the camera! The expected crowd of feral cats and an abundance of rabbits made appearances. We were curious as to what creatures might be adventuring in our yard at night.
The video and picture quality has been excellent for our needs. It seems to be quite sensitive as we’ve captured many pictures during the day. The settings and features are easy to set up. Reminded me of an old school digital camera set up before smartphones. It was super easy to transfer the videos/photos to my computer with the included USB cord. We love looking through them each weekend! We would definitely recommend it!
It is very easy to install. I would suggest getting a nice big memory card to have plenty of storage. The rechargeable power source is more than abundant for multiple nights of recording. I like to move it around and it has hardware for temporary and more permanent mounting.
We had a mysterious hole pop in our driveway, twice. It is definitely a hole that an animal had dug out. So I needed a trail cam to try and catch what kind of animal had dug this hole. (this hole was dug from the inside out, we couldn’t figure it out) We got quite a few pics of the local stink butts(skunks), coyotes, and tomcats, but nothing out of the hole. These were all night pictures and the quality was good. Any day photos the quality was better. Easy to set up, easy to download. Oh and we still don’t know what the heck made the hole. We filed it in again, we will see if it appears again. If so, the trail cam will go back up there.
I have several deer cams, from old and expensive to this one. I put some camo tape on the camera to help hide it, from humans, and it’s almost impossible to see if you’re not looking for it. I had it on a small tree and it looked like a knot hole from a distance. I don’t know how long the 8 batteries will last. but since the camera is on my property I can check it every few days. If you need a good deer cam, buy this one.
After leaving two of these cameras in the woods of southeast Alaska for 5 months I’m presently surprised how well they did. Video quality is decent day and night. They held up well to heavy rain and snow. Trigger speed/area makes animals centered in pic witch is good but a bit annoying when shooting video as you miss the first few seconds of them walking into frame.
Battery life was good. I got 5 months use with 120+ videos and it used up about half the battery life.
These are not perfect, great quality trail cameras but for the price I think they’re hard to beat if you just want to see what’s moving in an area.
I’ll definitely pick up a couple more of these.
This camera is one of the best for the money! I have a few of them and they perform flawlessly. Great day and night videos and pictures. These cameras have not let me down yet!!
I finallhy found out who was attacking my tomatoes. I thought it was a racoon only to find out that it was a family of four racoons. Now I now where they are getting in and closed up the gap. This is a great camera to see what is going on while you are asleep. Great quality pictures and video. Great sensivity. I love this camera.
I need a cam to watch over my garden because something has been eating up my vegetables’ leaves. This has been working well so far in term of a trail camera. The motion detection is working well. If you live in a windy area, set the motion detection to low, so it will catch less on the movement by wind.
Night vision picture/video is great. It shows in black/white clearly the frames.
I bought 2 of these cameras to provide surveillance at our campsite to who or what is visiting our camper when we are not there. These little cameras have excellent picture quality during daylight hours. Night shots were not as crisp as the color, daytime shots, but they were still clear enough to see what was going on. We found out we had a cat, racoons, squirrels, chipmunks, and a neighbor visiting while we were away. I set up the cameras with overlapping views for maximum coverage. Found out the infrared lights interfered a little with each other when both cameras triggered the same time at night. The biggest problem was with the cameras set on medium sensitivity, that the distance for the camera to trigger was quite short. Overall, for the price, these are great cameras. Very satisfied with picture quality and functionality.
am completely satisfied with this camera. I have had it for about a week. It set up quickly with batteries and an SD card, both of which I had on hand, and choosing features from the on screen menus. I secured it to an old camera tripod and found out who had been getting all the chicken feed every night.
I chose this particular camera for its price and small size. The smaller size makes it easier to hide and handle. It has spent one night in a driving rain with no problems. I haven’t tried the video feature yet, but I have been pleased with the 12mb daylight photos. The IR photos are grainy but that is to be expected.
I am looking forward to using it in a few other locations in the woods near my home.
I bought this camera 4 days ago to monitor my vegetable garden in the back yard. Every night some creatures come and cut little seedlings and even dug my onion bed. I tried to trap them using bait, but did not work. Some lighter animal ate bait without triggering the trap. So I wanted to see who is doing damage to my plants. I used it for 3 nights in three different locations in my back yard. In the third night camera got the video of the culprit. Raccoon and opossum. Now I want to buy a sprinkler to chase them away.
Great product, very good price, this is my second purchase
